I did it. I registered for RootsTech. Being a Grumpy Old Man, I doubt I would be able to attend RootsTech Live and In Person.
Yeah, it is not the same as being there. However, it’s the next best thing and it beats not going at all. I am excited that I can go online. I can click on a subject I am interested in, and then I can click on another topic and not have to RUN to the next venue. Trust me. After 20 years 28 days in the Army running everywhere, my knees love online seminars.
There are speakers from around the world – a virtual marketplace. There are cultural Activities and one can connect year-round.
Also, there is more than just genealogy. There are Food and cultural demonstrations, Mind-break activities, such as exercise, meditation, and yoga and Travel and world heritage, to name only a few.
There are activities for Youth, Families, and Individuals, and even better, recordings will be available on both Livestream and on demand. Here is where online shines. If you need to step away for a break, no worries. All the content will be available for you to enjoy in your own timeframe.
